For me, good singing is free singing. We achieve free singing by creating a free sound, and a free sound comes from training our breath and the involved musculature to respond at will. The ultimate goal is to create “vocal habits” so that when it comes time to perform we can mentally set those things aside and give ourselves over to expression. With years of serious study while maintaining a fulltime performing career, I have developed tools to help my students achieve their own unique healthy free sound. These tools can be applied to any genre (R&B, Classical, Musical Theatre, Gospel, etc)…
My teaching is tailored to and evolves with the individual needs of each student. Together we can find your free sound and achieve your personal performance goals.
