Thomas Strommen is a versatile saxophonist and active performer on the Twin Cities jazz scene. He studied with saxophone master Dr. David Milne at the University of Wisconsin as well as with local luminaries Greg Keel, Bryan Nichols, Adam Linz, and Phil Hey. As a high school student Thomas was selected as a member of the Dakota Combo, the premier youth jazz ensemble in the state.
Thomas is an experienced performer in styles ranging from classical to pop/rock to jazz and can be heard at local venues such as the Black Dog Cafe, Jazz Central Studios, Crooners Lounge and Supper Club, The Aster Cafe, and more.
He can be heard with Group 47, The Willow Waters Band, Brass and Bodyworks Brass Band, The Patrick Atkins Quartet, and numerous other configurations as they arise. He is prepared and eager to help you develop as a saxophonist whatever your musical interests may be.
Lessons are paid for by the month with a single discounted trial lesson to start. Payments are due before the first lesson. Cash or check only please. Rates are as follows:
Trial lesson: $20/30min or $40/60min
All other lessons: $25/30min or $45/60min
If a lesson is cancelled with reasonable advanced notice (about 24hrs) I will do my best to schedule a makeup.
